Our meat
Most of our beef and lamb comes from our family farm Hunter Natural in the Upper Hunter Valley - grass-fed, hormone-free, antibiotic-free. We also stock premium organic beef from Australian abattoirs we know personally.
Yes. Our pork and chicken come from free-range Australian producers we've worked with for years.
Most of them - bacon, hams, frankfurts, devon, kransky, beer sticks, salami. A few specialty imports (prosciutto, Danish salami) are sourced from quality European producers.
Yes. Our nitrite-free bacon and nitrite-free Christmas hams are cured naturally with sea salt and time. Slightly less pink than traditional, every bit as flavoursome.
Our cattle and sheep eat grass for life - no feedlots, no grain-finishing. The full story is on our blog: read 'What Grass-Fed Actually Means' for the detail.
Storage & cooking
Refrigerate at 0-4°C and use within 3 days for fresh meat (2 days for chicken). All meats freeze well for up to 3 months in airtight portions.
Absolutely - get it in the freezer the day of pickup for best quality. Wrap tightly to avoid freezer burn.
Always defrost in the fridge overnight, never on the counter. For thicker cuts, allow 24-36 hours. Defrosted meat shouldn't be re-frozen.
